About Me My name is Amanda Sweezea, Consultant with Pure Romance since October of 2010. I am married to a wonderful husband and we have one son. My son is actually the reason that I began selling Pure Romance. He was born 3 and half months premature, he was 2 lbs 3 oz. when he was born. He was in the NICU for 4 months, when he was 3 months old we were told that he was going to need a tracheostomy. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a little tube that they put in your neck to help you breathe; typically it’s the more elderly who have them. They still don’t now the complete cause of why he needed this, their best guess is because he was on the ventilator for so long. Because he had this trach we were at the mercy of many doctors offices; BIG doctors offices. I wasn’t able to dictate a schedule to them, they told me when our appointment was and that’s when it had to be; because otherwise we would have to wait 2-3 months for another one. It was very difficult for me to keep a “typical” job because of all of the time that I would need to take off, so I started thinking about direct selling companies. Pure Romance stood out to me because they have been around as long as I could remember. I found out later that we have been open 18 years! That’s amazing to me; any company that can stay open for that long must be doing something right. So my friend Lizz began selling Pure Romance so I had a party for her and she started talking to me about it and I became more and more interested. Before I knew I was a Pure Romance Consultant! I am so glad I did it! I am able to set my own hours, control the amount of money that I make, PLUS I get to party at work! I love being around women who are able to let loose and get away from your lives for just a few hours and I’m the one who is able to make that time enjoyable for them! It’s fun educating and empowering women for a living! AND I still get to spend time with my family as much as I want! I’m able to watch my son play T-ball or go to a school function! It’s everything that I ever wanted in job!
